Workshop - Beneficial Ownership Information Filing
Wednesday, November 13, 2024 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CST)
Description
This workshop will cover new federal reporting requirements for businesses. Join us as we uncover the details understanding the purpose and necessity of Beneficial Ownership Information Filing.
What is Beneficial Ownership Reporting?
Many U.S. companies must report their beneficial ownership details—information about individuals who ultimately own or control the company—to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
This session presented by Debi Hood, CEO of Professional Driven Solutions, will guide you through the filing process, clarify exemptions, and help ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Who Needs to Report?
A company may need to report beneficial ownership if it is:
1. A corporation, LLC, or a business created in the U.S. through filings with a state, Indian tribe, or similar office.
2. A foreign company registered to do business in any U.S. state or Indian tribe.
