Summary of Duties:

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.

Position Purpose:

The group sales coordinator will oversee and coordinate the planning and execution of all Casino group sales events.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all group sales events.
  • Prepares billing and final event details for booked groups and events.
  • Responsible for establishing client relationships that will encourage repeat business.
  • Be familiar with all property services/amenities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Reviews on-site catering requests with management prior to submission to the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Manages and positively resolves conflicts and scheduling issues.
  • Maintains professionalism in the handling of all sensitive and confidential information.
  • Possess effective listening abilities and demonstrates the ability to multi-task and handle assignments in a fast-paced working environment. 
  • Able to work effectively with different personalities and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

 

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in a related field. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving judgment skills.
  • Able to meet target deadlines. 

Licensing:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.

Work Requirements:

Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
