Position Description
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards. Position purpose To ensure that the facility is esthetically appealing and equipment is in working order. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Perform skilled and routine repairs on the facility, grounds, and equipment. Schedule maintenance to rooms so as not to interfere with sales. Complete preventative maintenance checklists for each room as scheduled. Inspect the facility on a continual basis to identify and resolve maintenance repairs as needed. Communicate all safety concerns to the Hotel Manager and Site Manager. Purchase materials and tools needed to make routine repairs. Communicate all major purchase needs to the Hotel Manager for approval. Repair sheetrock, plumbing fixtures, equipment, appliances, and paint physical structures. Perform preventative maintenance, and cleaning of the swimming pool, laundry facilities, elevator, and equipment. Assign key codes to room safes. Assist the Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist, and Electrician as needed. Conduct landscaping duties, including mowing, planting, trimming, and watering decorative plants, trees, and shrubs. Respond timely to on-demand requests for maintenance repairs. Provide safe and courteous guest services. Remove trash from the parking lot as needed. Report any maintenance concerns or issues to the Site Manager. Become familiar with casino events and promotions in order to accurately inform guests. Obtain and maintain a gaming license. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18. Requires high school diploma. Requires at least 1 year of experience in a technical maintenance capacity. Prior hotel maintenance preferred. Special Position Requirements: Requires Gaming License Work Requirements Requires problem solving skills, general maintenance and mechanical skills, computer use skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged standing, walking, stooping or bending, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Work is performed in a casino or hotel, and outdoor environment with varying levels of exposure to the elements, lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
