Summary of Duties:
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.
Learn and execute the 5-10 rule toward guests and employees on all occasions.
Position Purpose:
To install, repair, and maintain surveillance equipment to ensure continuous monitoring of the gaming floor and property.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Test equipment and make the necessary repairs to ensure good working condition.
- Monitor the gaming floor and exterior property as needed in the absence of an operator, to identify potential security or safety risks.
- Report all equipment malfunctions to the Director in a timely manner.
- Install cameras and components as requested by the Director.
- Provide end-user support in a Microsoft environment and surveillance software platform.
- Ensure proper operation of networked switches, cameras, and associated equipment by using established troubleshooting procedures and conducting preventative maintenance.
- Complete daily activity reports of all malfunctions, repair checks, alarm checks, and other checks as required.
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace all malfunctioning surveillance equipment.
- Ensure that surveillance equipment meets the standards set forth by Casino Internal Controls, and regulations.
- Provide emergency on-call support on a scheduled basis.
- Make recommendations for installations, equipment purchases, repairs, or tools needed.
- Report all concerns or issues to the Surveillance Director.
- Analyze issues with complex networked systems and offer solutions.
- Obtain and maintain certifications pertaining to surveillance equipment.
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18. High School diploma required.
- Requires strong PC and networking skills.
- At least two years prior experience repairing and installing surveillance monitoring equipment or similar electronic components required.
- Requires proficiency with Microsoft applications and electrical schematics and blueprints.
Licensing:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
Work Requirements:
Requires problem solving skills, ability to multitask, strong math skills, computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Position involves prolonged sitting, stooping or bending, climbing 10-foot ladders, using 30 foot lift, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, on a daily basis. Work is performed in a casino environment but is not limited to such, with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
